The Versa-Fold Windshield features a full-perimeter seal design that eliminates gaps between the windshield and roof, providing a seal comparable to a full windshield. Made from 0.220" thick polycarbonate, it offers exceptional shatter resistance—200 times stronger than glass. The top section folds down without contacting the hood and is secured in place using two heavy-duty captive rubber plugs. It can be quickly released or secured with two composite levers, requiring no tools. A mechanically attached, UV-protected transparent hinge ensures durability and is replaceable. Compatible with most OEM roofs and doors, as well as all Seizmik accessories, the windshield is trailerable at speeds up to 65 mph when properly secured. Material options include: - **UV-Resistant Polycarbonate**: High impact resistance, 88% light transmission, and stable up to 260°F. More flexible than acrylic but more prone to scratches. - **Double-Sided, Hard-Coated Polycarbonate**: Adds a scratch-resistant coating on both sides, offering 90% light transmission and enhanced durability. Commonly used in race car windshields. - **Double-Sided, Scratch-Resistant Polycarbonate**: A cost-effective option with improved scratch resistance while retaining the benefits of standard polycarbonate.
