The kit is designed to clear frame tubes on most modern water-cooled models. For air-cooled engines, an **adapter kit** (sold separately) allows compatibility with 14mm spark plug threads. This adapter kit includes an extended thread adapter and a dial indicator extension. However, it does not allow installation on Yamaha RD two-stroke twins while the engine is in the frame but works when the engine is removed. An optional **55mm adapter** for air-cooled models is also available separately.
