The Vertex Top End Piston Kit is designed as an OEM replacement, offering durability and performance. The cast pistons are made from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, creating a lightweight yet strong design. All pistons undergo a T-5 heat treatment process for added strength and reliability. The piston skirts feature a molybdenum disulfide coating to reduce friction, speed up break-in time, and extend piston life. For high-performance applications, Vertex also offers forged pistons made from 2618 aluminum, providing superior strength and durability. Forged high-compression pistons enhance power and torque across the RPM range. Each top-end kit includes a piston, rings, wrist pin, circlips, top-end gaskets, and a wrist pin bearing where applicable. Some kits may also include a cam chain when needed. All piston rings are OEM replacements, ensuring compatibility and performance.
