The Vertex Top End Piston Kit is designed as a high-quality OE replacement for various applications. The cast piston is made from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with an 18% silicone content, ensuring a lightweight yet strong construction. It is heat treated with a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle for increased durability. The piston skirt features a molybdenum disulfide coating, which reduces friction, speeds up break-in time, and extends the lifespan of the piston. For riders seeking enhanced performance, forged pistons are available, crafted from 2618 aluminum for superior strength and durability. High-compression forged pistons improve power and torque across the entire RPM range. Some forged pistons feature T-box forgings and DLC-coated wrist pins for additional strength and efficiency. Each top end kit includes a piston, rings, pins, circlips, top end gaskets, and a wrist pin bearing when applicable. All rings included in the kit are OEM replacements.
