The Vertex Top End Piston Kit is designed as a high-quality OE replacement, offering durability and performance enhancements. The cast pistons are made from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, ensuring a lightweight yet strong structure. Forged pistons are crafted from 2618 aluminum for superior strength and longevity, with high-compression options that improve power and torque throughout the RPM range. All pistons undergo a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle for added durability. The piston skirts are coated with a molybdenum disulfide layer, reducing break-in time and extending piston life. Forged piston kits feature T-box forgings and DLC-coated wrist pins for increased strength and performance. The kit includes a piston, rings, wrist pin, circlips, top-end gaskets, and a wrist pin bearing or cam chain where applicable. Additionally, all rings are OEM replacements.
