The Vertex Top End Piston Kit is designed as an OE replacement, offering durability and performance enhancements for a variety of applications. The cast pistons are made from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicon content, ensuring a lightweight yet strong construction. All pistons undergo a T-5 heat treatment process for added strength and longevity. The piston skirts feature a molybdenum disulfide coating to reduce friction, promote faster break-in, and extend piston life. For higher performance needs, the forged pistons are constructed from 2618 aluminum, providing superior strength and durability. High-compression forged pistons improve power and torque across the entire RPM range. Some models feature T-box forgings and DLC-coated wrist pins for additional performance benefits. Each top-end kit includes a piston, rings, wrist pin, circlips, top-end gaskets, and a wrist pin bearing or cam chain where applicable. All rings included in the kit are OEM replacements, ensuring compatibility and reliability.
