The Vertex Top End Piston Kit is designed as an OEM replacement, offering durability and performance. The cast pistons are made from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, ensuring a lightweight yet strong construction. Forged pistons use 2618 aluminum for superior strength and durability, with high-compression versions enhancing power and torque across the RPM range. All pistons undergo a T-5 heat treatment process for hardening and tempering. The piston skirts feature a molybdenum disulfide coating to reduce friction, improve break-in time, and extend lifespan. Forged pistons incorporate T-box forgings and DLC-coated wrist pins for enhanced strength and performance. The kit includes a piston, rings, wrist pin, circlips, top-end gaskets, and a wrist pin bearing or cam chain where applicable. OEM-replacement rings ensure compatibility and reliability.
