The Vertex Top End Piston Kit is a high-quality replacement for OEM pistons, designed for durability and performance. The kit includes a piston, rings, wrist pin, circlips, top-end gaskets, and a wrist pin bearing or cam chain when applicable. Vertex cast pistons are made from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, providing a lightweight yet strong design. Forged pistons, made from 2618 aluminum, offer superior strength and durability. High-compression forged pistons enhance power and torque across the RPM range. All pistons undergo a T-5 heat treatment process for added hardness and longevity. Additionally, the piston skirts feature a molybdenum disulfide coating, which reduces friction, ensures faster break-in time, and extends piston life. Forged pistons include T-box forgings and DLC-coated wrist pins for increased strength, especially in high-compression applications. Replica KTM 2-stroke pistons are factory-supplied to KTM, ensuring OEM-level performance. All rings in the kit are OEM replacements.
