The Vertex Top End Piston Kit is designed to provide reliable performance and durability. It includes a piston, rings, wrist pin, circlips, top-end gaskets, and a wrist pin bearing or cam chain where applicable. Vertex cast pistons are made from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, offering a lightweight yet strong design. Each piston is heat-treated with a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle and features a molybdenum disulfide-coated skirt for reduced friction, faster break-in, and extended lifespan. For high-performance applications, Vertex forged pistons are constructed from 2618 aluminum for superior strength and durability. The forged high-compression variants enhance power and torque across the entire RPM range. Additionally, forged replica pistons serve as OE replacements. All rings included in the kit are OEM replacements, ensuring compatibility and reliability.
