This is a set of forged pistons designed for the Subaru EJ257 engine, featuring a 100mm (3.937 in.) bore size and a compression ratio of 8.5:1. Engineered using high-strength 2618 aluminum, these pistons are built to handle the demands of high-performance applications. They feature an inverted dome/dish design, a 1.209-inch compression distance, and a 0.905-inch wrist pin diameter. The pistons incorporate JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which reduces friction and power loss through a narrower skirt width and a shorter wrist pin for weight savings. Depending on the application, the pistons may include a skirt coating to minimize wear, reduce friction, and lower operating noise. An accumulator groove (when applicable) is integrated to improve ring seal and ensure consistent power by reducing combustion gas pressure and preventing ring flutter. This kit includes four pistons, high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE Pro Seal premium piston rings, ensuring a complete and durable solution for engine builds.
