The Vertex Piston Kit is designed for high-performance applications, offering durability and reliability. The 2-stroke pistons are gravity-cast from aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, making them lightweight yet strong. The 4-stroke pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum for superior strength and durability. All pistons undergo a T-5 hardening and tempering process for enhanced longevity. The piston skirts feature a Molybdenum Disulphide (MoS2) coating, which reduces friction, accelerates break-in time, and extends piston life. Vertex provides different piston types, including OE replica cast pistons, race-style cast pistons with a single compression ring, and forged high-compression and big-bore options for increased power and torque. Each kit includes a piston, rings, wrist pin, and circlips. Two-stroke replacement rings are sold individually, while four-stroke piston rings are sold as a set.
