The JE Pistons VW 1.8T 20V Piston Kit is a set of four forged pistons designed for Volkswagen 1.8T 20V engines (1997-2005). Manufactured from high-strength 2618 aluminum, these pistons are engineered for high-performance applications, providing durability and optimized performance. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design reduces friction, minimizes power loss, and saves weight with a shorter wrist pin and narrower skirt width. Additional features include a skirt coating to reduce wear, friction, and operating noise, as well as an accumulator groove to enhance ring seal and improve combustion consistency. The kit includes premium JE Pro Seal piston rings, high-quality wrist pins, and locks. These pistons are designed with an inverted dome/dish design, a 3.228-inch bore, and a compression height of 1.291 inches. This kit is ideal for demanding motorsport applications such as drag racing, drifting, and track use, offering a proven record of performance and reliability.
