The JE Pistons VW 1.8L 20V Piston Kit is a high-performance set of four forged pistons, designed specifically for Volkswagen 1.8T 20V engines. Crafted from strong 2618 aluminum, these pistons are built to handle the demands of high-performance and racing applications. Featuring a flat-top design with a 3.189-inch bore and a 9.25:1 compression ratio, this kit is tailored for precision, durability, and optimized engine performance. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design reduces friction, minimizes power loss, and lowers overall weight by utilizing a shorter wrist pin and narrower skirt width. Additionally, the pistons may include a skirt coating to reduce friction and wear on piston skirts and cylinder walls, as well as to minimize operating noise. An accumulator groove, when applicable, further enhances performance by reducing combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal, and delivering consistent power output. The kit includes premium JE Pro Seal piston rings, high-quality wrist pins, and locks, ensuring a complete and reliable installation. Designed with decades of racing expertise, these pistons provide exceptional strength, efficiency, and proven performance for demanding applications.
