Galfers steel braided brake lines are made of PTFE 62 DuPont-Teflon. Around the inner Teflon we have 16 strands of steel braided cable (most companies only use 12) that allows for almost 0 expansion effect when applying pressure to the lever. Care must be taken when tightening the banjo bolts-torque to no more than 12-15 ft/lbs. Galfer lines can be special ordered in 9 different line colors and 4 different end fitting and banjo bolt colors. Custom lengths can also be made to order for extended swingarms, etc. Special orders are subject to additional costs and require additional time to deliver due to build time. Typically, colored lines are 10 more, 15 for colored ends and 20 for extended lengths. Ask anyone who used/raced braided steel lines-"Once you go braided, you will never go back."
